Checking Out The Bighorn Gun Safe Review

If you own a gun you should own a gun safe. They will protect all your family members from gun associated accidents and safeguard your valuables from everything from thievery to fire damage. The gun safe is definitely an important bit of hardware that each gun owner who owns multiple gun (as well as people who have only only one gun) should own to enable them to possess the piece of mind that they are protected from their guns and their own guns are safe from anything else.

There's a lot of gun safes brands out on the market today and they also vary in quality from positively crap to extremely safe and high-priced. Right now we are talking about a gun safe brand that falls someplace in the middle of all that even though it sways slightly on the higher quality safes. The brand name I'm discussing is Bighorn.

In my underground room sits a Bighorn gun safe. It is the Bighorn Model 7144 and it satisfies all of my requirements. I own a few hunting rifles along with a couple of hand guns and this little safe satisfies them all in comfort. It features a modern black body and proudly exhibits the Bighorn logo on the front. The door is four ins thick and it's secured with a LaGard Group II Safety Dual Lock. The interior of the safe is upholstered with a felt material and you can alter a few of the pieces inside to best suit your gun collection. The safe has substantial one and a half inch dimension door bolts on the side, top, and bottom of the safe. No crook will make it through this baby.

Using the Bighorn Model 7144 I don't have to worry about thievery because it is so solid within the locks and I don't have to worry about fire damages either. It's safe for 70 minutes in a 1200 degree fire due to the powder coat finish. The safe alone weighs 1050 pounds so no one is going to wander off with it.

The Bighorn gun safe is probably one of the best deals on the market at this time. They usually are available in in a price range of around $800 so you think that you will get quality and not crap. I would undoubtedly suggest a Bighorn gun safe if you're contemplating about purchasing a serious safe for your personal gun collection.

  1. Biometric translates to biological measurement. A biometric safe is different from a regular safe in that it has a lock that opens by means of some biological measurement. The measurement is of some trait or characteristic that is unique to each human being. Typically that means a fingerprint, but it can also mean an iris or facial structure. This is very high tech stuff, and you may have seen it in a James Bond or other movie involving say, the Pentagon, where they have to enter a hand print, or do a face or iris scan to get through a door. These are all biometric means of permitting access. Find more here: gun safe
